This is spurred from a post Seth Godin did recently. I found it interesting to consider that even if we want to be our own boss, we still need someone to hold us accountable.
So you own your own business, who do you count on for the progress of your business plan? A coach or mentor? Maybe a family member? In any case it usually isn’t yourself. Why is that?
It is inherent to need other people. We need other people to remind us we are useful, valuable, and necessary in this world. But we need others to help us stay the course. Lets face it, being a business owner is not an easy job. But you are one, so who is going to hold you accountable to your goals, your dreams, and your work on the hard days?
Action item: Write down your accountability partners, and thank them. Without them keeping you in mind, and in line, you will not reach those goals. It takes a team to build a booming business.
